Nothing quite like a '73 Playin in the Band. This is a nice run of shows from one of my favorite years.

boy, you have almost the whole collection of the dead at your fingertips, friend. you can't go wrong with any show from 72-74, or 77. if you can deal with some sound issues, 68-70 will not disappoint you either. 79-81 is full of great shows as well. personally, i really don't venture much past 83, but what do i know. your gonna enjoy almost anything you can get your hands on. since july, i have acquired over 300 shows, about 230 in mp3, and 70 in lossless flac or shn format. i was overwhelmed at first, but then i started to figure out what my favorite eras were, and kind of narrowed down shows from there.

tito, no need to say sorry, bro. if you dig 91, so be it. i can tell you your nuts, and that 73 is supreme in all ways, but that's my opinion. who's to say who's right and wrong. a matter of taste is all.

i appreciate what rh did for jerry and the dead...but i really cant get into his performances. saw him play the whole terrapin during the setbreak at an other ones show in hartford (best other ones i saw actually) and while it was cool to be there for it... we all sorta wanted it to end so the amazing musicians who made his songs famous could play them.

ps i did listen to the link, thanks, but it just doesnt do it for me
